This full-color zine provides a historical overview of major points in the development of the land and space that would become Ortega Park in Santa Barbara, California. beginning with the original Chumash inhabitants and moving through the 18th and 19th centuries, the zine also includes discussion of the recent activism around saving the historic murals created in the park by Chicano artists in the 1970s and 1980s. Limited print run. 50% of sales go directly to Ortega Park Youth Programs.
